NEWBORN PREP GUIDE
Tip One: We want your baby to be sleepy. I suggest keeping the baby awake in the morning with a long warm bath time and play time. If this is overstimulating the baby, then don't worry about it. It's okay. BUT if you can, this prep can really make a difference.
Tip Two: Pack all the necessities and a paci if you are using one. It can help settle during a shot. It's nice to have a bottle of formula or breastmilk so that I can feed instead of mom. Once that connection is made, it's hard to get the baby settled again. You are comfort to your sweet baby.
Tip Three: Please refrain from any food that cause gas like caffeine and dairy if breastfeeding. Gas drops which are safe for newborns can be helpful. Whether your baby is on a feeding schedule or baby led, he or she might eat more than normal because of all the movement we will do during the session.
Tip Four: Sibling and family posing will be done first. Please choose solids and soft material for outfits. The relationship is the center of attention, not the outfit or accessories so don't stress too much.
Tip Five: All of these are tips and suggestions to make things go more smoothly, but sometimes newborn life is hard so we will work with whatever your sweet baby gives us. No stress!
