Headshot Prep:
WHAT TO DO:
Make all your grooming and appointments for a few days before giving them time to settle in. Avoid new haircuts or colors, even new products. Moisturize up to the day of the session. Cut back on alcohol to avoid redness or puffiness. Hydrate 72 hours before the session. Get lots of sleep the night before so you don't look tired.
WHAT TO WEAR:
Wear colors that look good on you. Solids are best. Refrain from tiny repeating lines or patterns in your clothing. They create something called Moire on camera. You won't like it. Remember, professional doesn't have to be a black blazer or jacket so put some personality into your clothing choice. Add jewelry! Try on your outfit before, please. Don't try to squeeze into something that doesn't fit.
WHAT TO BRING:
If you are having a hard time deciding what to wear, bring your options with you. Hairspray and make up for touchups. A lint brush if you have pets.
FOR HEADSHOT HAPPY HOUR:
There will be no outfit changes as these are quick. Make sure you are 5-10 min early to do all touchups and/or change into your outfit so we can be ready at your appt time.
